Shop 4 Heatons is dedicated to bringing together local businesses and local consumers, but with all the benefits of shopping online.
We’re not trying to be the next Amazon. We don’t have national or global aspirations. Our focus is on the people who live in and around the Four Heatons area of Stockport (North West England).
Only businesses who are located in or close to our area will be allowed to sell on Shop 4 Heatons. We hand vet each and every application to sell. In this way we ensure we’re keeping our local area and economy thriving. (You can have the rest of the world Amazon. You’re welcome).
Of course customers who shop on the site can be from anywhere. Just like tourists!

Become a Seller in Four Easy Steps
Step 1: Choose a plan and register
We currently offer 3 plans for sellers. Our Starter Plan is completely free to set up, you only pay a commission when you actually sell a product. It’s got everything you need to start selling, with no hidden costs.
When you’re ready to take your store to the next level, choose from our Standard Plan or Premium Plan offering lower commission rates, enhanced support and a greater number of products.
Once you’ve completed the registration form we’ll email you when your application to become a seller has been approved. This usually takes around 24 to 48 hours.
Step 2: Create your Shop
Once your registration is approved, you’ll be able to login and set up your shop.
Setting up your shop is quite straightforward, and we’ve got lots of help articles to help you get going. We’ve taken care of all the tedious stuff for you, like returns policies, but you can override these defaults to suit your own store. You’ll always be in control.
As soon as you have set up your shop, you’ll be listed on the Store List. Don’t worry the Shop 4 Heatons support team will be on hand to help you with anything you’re not sure about!
Step 3: Add your products
Now it gets interesting! You can start adding your products to your shop. For your first few products a member of the Shop 4 Heatons support team will check that everything is set up correctly – after all we want the shopping experience to be perfect for your customers. Once you’ve got a handle on how it’s done, you’ll be able to put your products live directly.
We’ve created specific shipping zones for the areas in and around the Heatons. This means you can offer specific delivery methods for the local area, such as free delivery or pick-up. Like we said, we’re about bringing the best of local to the best of online. Cake. Eat.
Step 4: Fulfill your orders!
When customers place an order for your products, you’ll be notified by email. You then fulfill the order, and mark it as complete on the site.
We’ll take care of all the payment side of things. Once an order has been completed, we’ll release the funds to you electronically (less the commission).
We’re going to be actively marketing Shop 4 Heatons throughout the area and through social media. Our aim is to make it as easy as possible for people to shop local, and for local businesses to get online with the minimum of fuss. That’s why we’re constantly adding to our knowledgebase of articles to help you make the most of your Shop 4 Heatons store.

A percentage of the commission charge goes directly to the Four Heatons Traders Association to support local projects, and to help with their mission to make the Heatons a better place to live work and prosper.
